Healing of eyebrow piercings

Here are a few health and safety recommendations so this crucial phase goes smoothly for you. All lengths of time given here are average lengths.

Eyebrow piercing lasts from 2 to 3 months:

- Eyebrow piercing is often done on the outside of the eyebrow, on the axis you want.

- You can associate a ring jewellery with your eyebrow piercing. It is advised to wear a curved bar (called micro-barbell).

- Depending on the type of eyebrow piercing you have, you can use horyzontal eyebrow jewellery.

- It is strongly advised not to take off your initial piercing jewellery during all of the healing phase.

- Risks of rejection with eyebrow piercing are quite high. That's why we recommend you to be careful not to hook your jewellery with your clothes, and not to wear to big pieces of jewellery at the end of the healing phase.

- It is common for eyebrow piercing to retract during the first weeks and to stabilize itself later on.

- For a piercing in a phase of rejection by the body, it is advised to take it off before a complete rejection, in order to avoid a too obvious scar.

- Don't take off your eyebrow jewellery during the healing phase or you will find yourself in the impossibility of putting it back on.

- Drug or alcohol consumption before and during the healing phase would make you bleed and could be very painful.

- Avoid taking aspirin for the first two or three days as it would cause heavy bleeding. Take Paracetamol or Ibuprofen instead.
